Thanks that might work. I feel like there has to be an easier way than replacing the tank. But it was scary after I took the boat out last time, topped off the tank on the way back to the marina, looked in the bilge and you could smell the fuel. I just want to get it taken care of, and fixed right.

I have an 18 and yes you have to pull the console. I agree with others though...has to be a better/easier way...

Just got the call from the mechanic, and it is fixed. Turns out one of the bolts broke inside the molded in sleeve, the sleeve was in good shape they were able to drill it out and clean up the threads, new gasket around the sender, and its as good as new.

But let me tell you, turning on the bilge pump, and pumping out a gallon of fuel was a scary thing last weekend.
