i used Durabac on the Mckee, it turned out well( I just need to finish the rest of the boat). On a flat surface it was great, but with all the ins and outs, it used up a lot more than I expected(ended up using 1 1/2 gals to do the Mckee). A couple of hints about dealing with the durabak people. Fist of all, don't waste your money on the slick durabak, it looks like crap when your done, and you can't sand the stuff off to redo it after it cures. Secondly, do not accept any paint color that is not on their standard paint chart, if its not listed on the chart from the web site, don't order it. DO not accept any paint that comes with a can of black and an instruction sheet to tint the paint to the correct color, it will no turn out like they tell you. Order more than you think you will need, teh shipping to order more later would have paid for the extra. When you order the paint and they offer to throw in some rollers, get at least 4, they charge you for them when you order small quantities later. Don't waste your time trying to use a regular paint roller, it won't work. When you call customer service, don't waste your time with the distributor in NJ, go ahead and call the Denver Co number. If you talk to the guy in NJ with teh middle Eastern accent, hang up and call back later, his idea of a color is differnt than the rest of the world( he's probably color blind). I'm happy with the non skid paint and the main distributor in Denver. The guys in NJ substituted a bad color mix and threw in some black for me to tint it to my liking(it turned the paint grey, not darker blue, only used it on the first coat, took three coats to cover it up, thats why I had to order more)). When I called to order some more later in the summer, they told me it was a custom mix and they couldn't guarantee the color to match, then the kept refering to the wormg color on teh web page. I told the guy, I want light blue, like the color of the Tarheels uniforms( see Randlemans motorcycle pic for reference). The guy still kept trying to sell me an ice blue(allmost white). Oh, and that thinner they tell you to use will cause a chemical burn on where ever it gets on your skin, feels like a zippo light that has been over filled

I checked again Todd, apparently I will have to look elsewhere as NJ does not allow them or at least makes it difficult to get.
The fella from Kiwi Grip emailed me back, I have to order it and have it shipped, expensive stuff plus 25 a gallon shipping.

the durabak distributor that shipped me the paint was in NJ, maybe you could save on the shipping if it were close to you
