from 1978 on they were but if you replace do not refoam as it will eat up a tank.

I was thinking of not foaming the next one because a 5 yo tank that was in there foamed in was trash.

i just replaced my tank this winter on my 1984 v20. i used wedges of poly board caulked in place to hold the tank .. the old tank was foamed in and rotted on all sides . hopefully no water in my fuel this season.
