By he way, does $2500 sound about right for a 85 v20 with a 2003 tandem alum. trailer. Boat looks like it is in good shape. Shiny!

less than what I paid for mine ('86) but that was before the economy took a dive.....what kind of power? in my opinion any boatwith a trailer that is not wrotted and has a working motor is worth $2500. And that newer trailer is a bonus.. I kind of ignored my trailer when I bought my boat...approx $400 later it now has new brakes, new (used) tires and rewiring......

That price is with no motor.

do you have a motor & controls available? if you do and the trailer is in real good shape, its probably a good deal. if you have to come up with a motor & controls & rigging and the trailer needs springs, tires , etc. not so good

I agree w/the rest of the guys...if hull and trailer are in good shape, then $2500 is a good price...didja walk around on the floor feeling for soft spots?...can you tell if the transom is solid?...are all the hatch-lids there and in good shape?...do you see any cracks on the bottom of the hull along where the stringers are?...

Buying a boat with a motor is overrated. Suitable power can be had for under a grand easy. If the boat's in really good condition, get it. That's the hard to find part anyway.

I agree...idea situation to me would be find solid full transom V20 or a good solid purdy lil 21 like BR's or DMoore's and hang new power...

We've seen that one here before...he took a cuddy cabin, cleared the deck (literally) and made a CC outa it...ladder up to the top of the cabin and removed the windshield...a REEL hybrid
