I have been watching for something like those for years. What is the width of the splashwell? I can't remember and my V is 200 miles away.

Yes, SS would be stronger, but the one chair I had that got bent was easlily fixed with new bolts, the bolts holding the chair together were what bent, not the actual chair.

Outside to outside of my splash well is 44 1/2" give or take a fraction. Inside to inside of the gunwhales is somewhere around 69" if I remember right. I can measure again tonight to get exact dim's if you need them.

oops... guess I used the rubber ruler. Actual outside to outside is 42 1/2". Inside is 36". The more I think about it that seat could actually work. It would sit in between the storage boxes on the sides, As the splash well sticks out just less than 12" I think the back would recess into the well and finish about 2" or so behind the storage boxes. Would need to install a support across the well to catch the back of the seat. Might be a little loud back there and maybe wet!. just rambling

I envision putting two pedistal seat type bases on the bottom of the seat at a width that you could mount receivers in the front inside corners of the splashwell. This would allow for easy removal.
My other vision is to use a piano hing on the front of the splashwell lip and attach it to the seat so it can fold out of the way for motor tilting. As for noise, you can cure that with a Johnzuki 4 stroke motor.
