go to west marine, or look online for the plastic bunk slides. I've got them on my trailer and the boat jumps off the trailer when I un-hook it. You gotta be ready when you unhook the boat b/c it literally jumps off the trailer. Only cost about 20-30 dollars.

Thread resurrection!

It's bunk carpet replacement time, but I was wondering if anyone has tried replacing with plastic bunk slides that bcmarinamanager mentioned, and if so how did that work out?

I have roller trailers, BUT My next door neighbor uses the plastic/nylon slides on his trailer. Swears by them. Says boat is much easier to launch and retrieve then when he had carpet, plus there's no moldy smell from the wet carpet.

S.S staples. And I would lay the wood on saw horses. , measure 3 times, make sure you have enough overhang on the ends to fold and staple away. Than you would have to drill holes on the bottom to mount it. A extra hand will help and ofcoufse coffee.try to use all stainless if you can or galvanized.
