Default 1985 V20 fisherman CC

Versatile boat? I've found one and don't know whether or not to pull the trigger. 200hp Evinrude (rebuild), good alum trailer, nicely appointed for under 10k.

Too much?

PICTURES PLEASE
Yes it's too much for me but maybe there is everything to consider. Condition and accessories, etc.

I've yet to move on it. It's listed on craigslist Wilmington NC.

Yeah, it's too high for me also I'm afraid.

$10,000 sounds like a lot for that year, unless she is loaded :-/

Here's the posting. Maybe it will help the guys out.

http://wilmington.craigslist.org/boa/417357695.html

His ad says he put over $14k in her over the last year. The livewell pump doesn't work, but he says everything else is "fish ready".

I don't have the $10k but could make him an offer of course.

I think 10k is too much as well, but of course you won't find a brand new 20ft CC for anywhere near 10k.

There are cheaper ones out there for sure.

It's easy to spend more than you could ever hope to recover when it comes time to sell. Take this boat for example...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ONE-O...spagenameZWDVW

I'm sure he really did spend 100k as he claims and the boat does look like it has had a lot of work done to it. The seller is trying to get back 1/3 of his expense, which isn't going to happen.

The boat that you're looking at seems to be in only fair condition and it's hard to see 14k worth of work in it. MJ's looks like a much better deal!

Thanks. I've tuned this one out. Anything I've ever improved on anything...cars..atv's...guns...etc..I've never recouped my money. It's just a bonus for the next owner it seems. Electronics, rewiring...etc..etc...is dang nice, but how can you really put a price on used stuff?

What's MJ got?
