paranoid is an unreasonable fear of something. when the media is unabashadly trying to elect a senator who started his campaign with 143 days of experience in the senate, an obvious lack of knowledge of foreign affairs and has life long assosiations with people I am willing to bet that none of you fellows would allow anyone in your family to assosiate with, I get worried that an agenda of change that is being advanced is not what you hear on the little sound bites and campaign teleprompter, but instead an fundamental change in what this country was founded on and a huge increase in the power and control of the federal government.
As a matter of fact, even those who would normally consider taking a chance on a left wing senator better think hard, very hard about giving the government a liberal run senate, liberal run congress and the most liberal senator in the house as president.
Think about that for awhile, you will be turning over the future, the direction and the security of our nation to
Nancy Pelosi Harry Reed Chris Dodd Barney Franks Chuck Shummer and Obama to sign off on all that it passes.
If you guys feel that is what you want for our country;s future then God help us all.
Your alternative is a man that has served our nation with so much honor and integrity that even obama won't dare say anything about it. He has reached across the aisle and tried to work out issues to move our country forward, has an agenda of getting the government out of the economy and our lives, reducing the taxes on all of us and refuses to play the socialist manifesto of class warfare, rich against poor, black against white etc.
Someone that has enormous experience in dealing in this dangerous world we live in and does not apolgize to the world about how bad America is.
Someone who does not refer to you infidels who believe in the 2nd Amendment, who believe in God as misguided people who wont understand his agenda.
He will always do the right thing regardless of the political consequences to him personally and does not tell people in North Carolina one thing and go to South Carolina and say whatever his pollsters say those infidels want to hear.
Your darn right I am afraid, I am afraid that many will not see thru this smokescreen because they think that Bush is now running again as the media has portrayed it and do not see the dangers ahead

Let them all crumble and fall into the sea for all I care. Those who bust their *** and play by the rules are gonna get to foot the bill for those who have zero equity in anything and party like a rock star while waiting for the mailman to deliver them their next government check. This treasonous government propping them all up will allow our country, way of life, and value of our dollar slowly deflate in the next few years untill it is worth jack. I say let all insolvent corporations, banks, and individuals fall flat on their face, let the strong survive, and the really hard times will be over in a few years.

I still believe that our country was founded on checks and balances.
That being said, I will be voting for Mccain and just for the reason that Willy laid out.

My feeling is that Obama will sell us out to the rest of the world,
talk about a new world order, how about world socialism, with the U.S. footing even
more of the bill than we are already.

This is the typical case of a "sweet talker" that the media falls in love with, and the media goes to extremes to get the guy elected, no matter what. When i was in school i hated hystory, like most of us, but now i realized how important it is. If you want examples of "sweet talker" and complcent media, look at fidel castro in cuba, whom got international recognition when herbert mathews from the "new york times" turned him into a modern "robin hood" , and most recently, look at chavez in venezuela.

Now, some people will tell you, "oh, that is not going to happen here!" but i remember when people in cuba used to say: The u.s is not going to allow a comunist country 90 miles away from their shores!" and look, 50 years after
castro still there.

Unfortunatedly, the man is the only animal that stumble with the same stone twice!!!!

Get ready boyz...coming atcha from the left (not the far left mind you) ....and its going to be long winded and I apologize for that in advance If you don't have much time just read the last sentence

When it comes down to the 3 most important things to me, its a clear choice who should be president.

Here they are in order of importance:

1) Economy
2) War on "terror"
3) Dependance on foreign oil

I don't care that McCain left his first wife b/c she got disfigured or that Obama went to a church and had a pastor who preached crazy chit. These are all partisan attacks that divert us from the issues. This isn't a personality contest (or is it?). Just because someone is a war hero doesn't mean they know how to solve the problems of the world.

These are the 3 that I believe the Democratic ticket will act on in a more positive way than the other Republicans.

Speaking of a lack of knowledge of foreign affairs, McCain and his vast military experience and knowledge believed Iraq would be a "relatively easy" victory attainable in "a very short amount of time." If you don't call that out of touch I just don't know what to call it.
Especially armed with the hindsight of his participation and heroic efforts in Vietnam - which he still doesn't think Vietnam was a mistake by the way..... raise your hand if you think Vietnam was a positive experience for the US - do I get any takers on that? Thank God my dad made it back from that quagmire or I would not be here. And trust me he almost didn't.

I believe the cost of so-called victory in Iraq outwieghs the benefits. Is it attainable? No one knows for sure. If it is attainable how long and how many lives would be lost? McCain summed it up nicely at the end of the debate last night. It is something we don't know. I think we should go after a real victory and that is targeting the terrorists no matter where they are.

Energy - Palin's husband works for an oil company. We need to do away with these conflicts of interest for a while. Especially at a time when a great deal of emphasis needs to be put on changing our entire fuel infrastructure and way of thinking when it comes to how we get from place to place. Obama has lofty goals to get it done in 10 years as I'm sure you've heard him say. How easy it is to sit back and say "impossible" but just look at history. Where we were 100 years ago. The advancements we've made in 100 years are down right phenomenal. I'll say it again PHENOMENAL. Change starts with somebody who has big goals and is focused on accomplishing those goals. I don't get the warm fuzzies that McCain the military man and Palin who feeds her family with a paycheck from an oil company will do much for our long term energy crisis - other than put it off on the next generation to deal with. And "my friends" by then it will be too late.

What we should be doing is identifying the most important issues on our minds, listening to their proposals and deciding who will do the best job.

I still love you guys.....and I'd take a bullet for any one of ya....but your all eratic, out of control and downright dangerous. LOL
