McCain, like Bush shoots from the hip. McCain stumbles for words too without a script. That is one reason Palin was chosen, she is a good speaker, even when she didn't know what the Bush doctrine was. I'm sure she has schooled on that by now.

Palin is a good speaker, but her voice is starting to annoy me--a little too whiny for me.

Been watching him, he is sharp. I would not characterise it as shooting from the hip, certainly not in the GW vain but if that is how you see it so be it.
The reason Palin asked him to clarify,
that condecending twit to be more specific is there has been three main things that have been dubbed in the press as the Bush doctrine
Two refer to his international policies, two specifically after 9/11.
One referred to his national policy and referred to his agenda of community involvement and faith based initiatives along with reducing governments hand in your pocket and control over regulatory taxes and fees to corporations.
The other main Bush doctrines referred to GW's policy that if you were hiding a terrorist and /or supporting their activities you were to be viewed the same as them.
And that if the best interest of the U.S security requires us to not seek permission of the United Nations or they are dragging their feet we will do what is necessary to secure our interest alone if needed.
All of these things were referred to as the "Bush Doctrines" over the last eight years by pundits, the democrats, the media. So if you are going to answer a question you would probably need the asker to be a little more specific. Once he stopped looking down his nose at her and clarified what he was talking about she gave a straight informed answer.
I have watched her give two speeches, three town hall meeting and two lengthy interviews, including the aforementioned condecending twit who tried his best to throw her under the bus and I came away with the following opinion, she is honest, genuine, very intelligent and a regular small town individual as far as values and attitudes go. If I could get her to abandon this race and come to NJ and run it here I would give my left testicle to make it happen.

I still would like to know who each candidate willbe picking as their cabinet!?!?!?

That would probably go a long way in making most peoples decision.
