Yeah, mine has the red cannon plug, and I was also conserned about the lack of a voltage gauge but the price seemed to be OK. I guess I got about 20 hours to make my mind up.

You'll wanna be able to monitor voltage...if yer adding a depth-finder, most these days have ability to show you that, so you may not need a volt gauge...
