Good one.
The only homeless people I will help, are the ones that I can see have a true physical abnormality. Like, the ex-soldier who can't get a job because both his legs were blown off by a mortar. Even when I am out of the country, I will very seldom give any money to the begging kids on the street. Too many times, they take that money and give it to the rich guy thta makes them beg and then they get a bowl of rice. I still think they should bring back teh WPA and make the welfare people work for their money, just think of all the trash clean-up details and how clean the sities would be. State parks would be repaired and grafittee would be washed off walls and not return because it is probably the welfare kids that are doing it and the parents woudl be the ones cleaning it off. Sorry about the rant.

Being in a profession where I often deal with homeless folks, I know from experience that there are a lot of them who have serious mental issues that lead to their homelessness. Really, who in their right mind would chose to live the way some of them live. The ones who are really mentally ill are never the ones begging for money or food, they dont want any contact with anyone.
After 20 years of dealing with the things I deal with I have NO patience for stupid people, but I cant help but feel sorry for some of the homeless that I see who are truely lost members of our society.

I agree whole heartedly with all the responses to my original post. Especially to anyone that has served in our military and unfortunately may have literally given a piece of themselves for this country.
GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS and let's all keep them in our prayers.
