Typically we (my dad and I) are in the upper. Launching from Augustine, Cedar Creek and ocasionally a cruise out of Delaware City. We'll go as low as Bower's Beach on occasion. I am interested in learning the ins and outs of the Ches. Bay though. I posted in the Fishing forum about the lack of fish in the DE bay. I need to educate myself on the spring/fall striper run. ie. When, Where, and How. I learn best by doing and am willing to pay my way if anyone fishes that area and is willing to divulge some secrets.

Yes, there does seam to be a lack of fish in the De bay,

but that doesn't stop me from trying. I go out of the Roosevelt inlet at Lewes, I have a trailer on the Broadkill river where they have a small marina. The park is called Steamboat Landing. As far as learning for stripers, look at all the posts in the fishing section and subscribe to the fishing reports from Bill's sport shop, here's a link: http://www.billssportshop.com/

As a matter of fact I have been subscribed to Bill's report for some time now and really enjoy the comentary. We'll have to just leave earlier from now on and make the trek to RI. Do you fish the break waters down there?

Yes, the outer wall, the inner wall and the haystacks.

Last weekend they were catching keeper croakers at the inner wall. Pretty soon the tog catch at the walls will pick up, usually mid September through October.
