i bought my rod from Bass Pro and its identical to the travela 5'8" XXH rod, excpet its 109 dollars and not 199. also it seems to have more backbone to it. does that TLD25 cast pretty far?

when i upgrade reels do you think a lever drag or a star drag would be better?

I would think the drag, as long as a good one won't make as much difference as the gear ratio for retrieve with a two speed being the ideal I would guess and a fast single speed the second most important issue.

i was thinking about trying out a OKuma TG-15 later on to see how it will do
