I blame it on the parents.
That is what I like about Japan, I could let my laptop case in a train station and come back about a half hour later and it would still be in the same spot. They are taught from young that if it is not yours, don't touch it. I am in Tokyo right now, you should see the view from my hotel room on the 19th floor. Hey I'll just post some pix:

Don't know what you had, but if they had serial numbers document them and receipts help if you got them too.FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFing Dikheds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had to get that last on out. Keep an eye open, don't tell to many people about it and ask around for fishing gear at local marinas, saying you are interested to buy. Chances are the guy doesn't know "you", you were just his unknown victim.

i know how you feel, what scumbag would want to steel somebodys fishing poles, give me a break, if a kid came up to my boay and askme for a pole i would give it to him/her and share my info on fishing with him/her you dont steel somebodys equipment thats low you feel violated hopefully somebody else would catch them cause there gonna do it again what a waiste sorry pal if you where around her,jersey i would give you a couple of poles sorry

THAT REALLY SUCKS!!!!! I hope ya catch em and beat the chit out of them! I hate a thief, theres no lower form of life in my opinion!

Sorry to hear that LS. happened to me a few years ago, broke into my car and took the stereo (no biggie) all the CD's (another no biggie) and my sons fishing pole... THAT was a GREAT biggie... my sons FIRST fishing pole...wtf?? I hated it for a long time. After we got re-tackled, and the look on my kids face when he landed a 10# black tip...made up for ALL of the hurt of being violated like we were. I DO still remember though, and will never give "them" another chance to rip me off.
