If you have to remove or replace the motor, go ahead and add a hydraulic jack plate.

I think the perfect motor for a V-20 is a 140 Johnson/Suzuki 4 stroke. Mine tops out @ 40 mph and gets 5 mpg when you run 20-25 mph.
