CTBONE - Kings aren't bad, especially that size. If I could catch kings all day long I'd rather have the snakes than those big smokers.
last year we caught a couple over 30 pounds and they were kinda funky. like you said i bet the smaller ones are better.

Yeah, we live bait for the big boyz and pull small spoons and lures for the snakes. I know what you mean by "funky."

We usually smoke them and have heard there nasty fried but when you cut the red line out and fry them up there pretty good. Oh yea last weekend to we saw a nice bull and cow running the weed line came up looked at our squid we threw at them and then they were back off running the weeds.

Fried some small ones up last year and my wife, who hates "fishy" stuff, loved it. Kids did too.

Small ones - good
Big ones - ok to nasty

What did you catch those kings on?

Those mahi should hit the same lure or bait. Keep on chasing them, you'll eventually trick one (or two).

Where you buy the rollin papers for dem dat size?
If you got any info for smokin them, post in the recipies.
Tried to get Blue and fwb to add the process but they Bogart.
Have you tried citrus wood smoking?
