I've read alot of good things about the NAVMAN equivelant which NORTHSTAR took over last year and rebadged them as there's. I know BOATERS WORLD had them on sale last week for $89.99, maybe they sold out with everybody trying to optimize every drop of $4+ a gallon go-juice.

Looks the same as a Navman 2100 Fuel. If you purchase one, make sure you reset everytime you refuel.

I put one on this spring, I picked it up at Boater's World when they had it for $99. It's worked great so far although having your GPH constantly in your face can be a little depressing at $5 bucks a gallon.

I put one in last season. It is a very nice unit. You have three different volume readouts. Gas- which is how much is in your tank. Trip - how much you have burned for that trip (assuming you reset after each trip) and total - which is how much you have burned for the year. Also you can switch to the rate readout which shows your consumption for any RPM. There is a low volume alarm which you can set to any volume you choose. The older units had no way to change the "GAS" volume. You would have to fill up and reset to however big your tank is. The newer unit lets you add any increment you need. I fill up with 5 gal portable tanks and I can add that to the unit. I did have the turbine fail within a few months and they sent me a new one very quickly at no cost to me. I am pleased with it.

Link to Defender website (where I bought mine)

http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?path=-1|311|302335|302334|1018484&id=751133

If you click on "ADD TO CART" it lists for 123.99
