The DSC should be fairly easy to hook up for most installs. Should use the standard NMEA0183 output from the GPS to the input on your VHF. Some VHF's can talk back to your GPS to provide DSC tracking info as well as AIS info. And I think there are a few NMEA2000 VHF's out there which makes the hook-up even easier. Now get the fuel flow probe and have a real time fuel management system.

I've got the old Humminbird Matrix with external antenna and a Cobra VHF.
The 3 wire pigtail from the antenna (1 wire capped was a power output) simply connected to a 2 wire plug going into the radio.

Oh and you gotta get the EP10 Fuel Flow Sensor.
