Check out Portsmouth Trailer sales. I buy from there when I need trailer parts.

I'll second that about champion trailers. Rebuilt mine last year & they had all the stuff & were lots of help.

Check trailerpart.com They don't list galvanized axles but a little inquiry couldn't hurt.

When I did mine I used Northern, they had it all, but I had to go with a non galv axle also. I painted a few coats of trailer cote or something like that paint.
after 3 years in the salt I had just a small spot of rust that I cleaned up and repainted. I sold the trailer some time later as my roller shafts were welded in place on this old Caulkin's trailer, and there were no parts for it anymore.

Just take a hammer and tap the whole frame before you get going!! tops sides and most important the bottom!!

A grinder & sawzall They are your friends!!

My trailer frame is not tubular, its I-beam so any rot will be right there to see, and I haven't noticed any so far.

I found a couple of places with galvanized torsion axle kits for $270-280. But then there will be shipping and they weigh 120# each.

And there's the problem of figuring out what angle torsion axle to get.....I can just see ordering a set and it not being right and having to send em back and get more......it could end up costing another $300 in shipping.

I am just going to wait until I go back down to the coast in a couple weeks and find what I need there, surley there is a good trailer supply place in Wilmington or Myrtle Beach.
