Here in CT you need brakes on trailers rated for 3000 # and over in order to register the trailer. My trailer has a 6000# axle and springs and 15 " tires and NO BRAKES, therefore NO registration.
I was thinking of getting brakes strickly for the inspection and registration and then taking them off the trailer and selling on ebay or craiglist or something like that. "almost new and never seen water" Maybe we should get on set and pass them around to various V-owners here who need to register trailers? Whadya think ?? I have 15" wheels with 6 lugs Carl

Great idea Carl! I like the way you think...
I've got 5 lug wheels; maybe we'll need two sets to pass along :-) You do have me thinking though... Installing, then removing and selling. That might not be too bad of an idea... Probably lose a few dollars on the resale, but that's better than being out $250 or more...
