Default Hey Therm or Skools

Ok guys this might be an easy question but here it goes. So if you guys remember i disconnected my VRO a little while ago. Well I ran the boat on premix and VRO for 45 mins before I cut the hose and plugged it. This past weekend I took the boat out for the day ran GREAT...until the end of the day. I was rafted up with some other boat and jumped back into mine fired it up. I backed off the other boats when it died. It started right back up, but when i put it back in forward and tried to plan off it only had about half power. I would pin the throttle control and still only have half power. Well I limbed back to the dock put the boat on the trailer and headed home. When i got back to the house I put the engine down and a whole lot of gas and oil came poring out. At this point I'm think OH S*@! Today i went out to see if i could track down the problem. I first i tested the compression 1-96 2-99 3-100 4-91 5-93 6-93 not bad. Then I tested the spark the whole left (1/3/5) bank had nothing. The right wasn't bad maybe a little weak. So from there I took of the cover to the powerpacks and found a screw the was really loose and the bank it was in burnt. see pic http://s207.photobucket.com/albums/b...t=DSCN1013.jpg The yellow and gray what the one in the hole. Would this have taken out my powerpack, and how to test? if not where do i go form here?

Shift interrupt switch stuck when you shifted it. Check your shift linkage and I'll bet you'll find that it is stiff and not moveing freely. It will be a small black switch mounted on the starboard side under the carbs and attatched directly to the shift linkage where the rod goes under neath the powerhead. This is a common issue on a first run as the linkage will get stiff and bind and it will shut 3 of your cylinders down and make it run like CRAP! If mine was together right now I would take a picture and show it to you in a photo. Most likely you just need to pull the linkage off and clean and grease it, but you may need a new switch as they do go bad from time to time. The quick test is to go out and pop the switch out from it's holder, just spread the 2 tabs and pull it outward. If the engine runs on all 6 again then go through your linkage, if not unplug the switch from the starboard pack and you'll most likely get your spark back and not be able to shut her down.

Here's a picture of the switch your looking for.
