The 26th is my 18th wedding aniversery........the wife's sister says she will keep the kids for the weekend and we can go off somewhere.....BUT......I am trying to figure a way to convince the wife to go to the coast with the kids for a little V-20 fun.
The one thing I won't do is answer the phone or pager.

I know the idiots will be out, but I'm going to be on the water, too. I spent most of last weekend doing yard work in hopes of NOT having to do any this weekend. My (tentative) plans include:
Washing down/cleaning up the Pipe Dream, first thing Saturday, so we can spend some quality time out cruising and anchoring the rest of the weekend, taking the dogs for swims at the beach, going for a morning or evening cruise in my old VW convertible, eating big breakfasts every day, recycling some beer, and grilling some beef and seafood, and of course spending quality time with the missus. We will also take time to observe the reason for the "holiday" weekend, the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We owe them our thanks and remembrance, because without them we might not have the freedom to do all the things we all too often take for granted.
