Chesapeake Bay

Fish in the Chesapeake leave the bay when they reach about 26", then they return in the spring to spawn and soime years make a fall showing to feed for a few weeks.

Yeah after they reach 26" they come down here and bless us with thier presence. Its pretty rare to catch schoolies in the ocean down this way but there are some resident fish that are schoolie size in the sound and around the bridges. I've caught several ocean fish and only 1 or two that didn't make keeper size at 28".
