Thanks for the nice comments. The bow pulpit and rail were added by the boat's prior owner, so I can't take any credit.

The pulpit is made of teak, and it's very solid. I believe it was a stock purchase rather than a custom fabrication, but I'm not sure. The prior owner dabbled in carpentry, so he might have made it himself. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the bow rail.

The pulpit and bow rail are really nice for fishing. I also like having the anchor out and always available. I can drop anchor very quickly, and the roller eases the job of pulling it back in.

For my next project I'm considering adding a radar arch like the one on Simple Gesture. Has anyone else done this? Any thoughts?

I think it is a great Idea!! I have been wanting to do this foer some time now!! But I am always short the cash :'(

Only problem w/an arch...I used to store my top booted and standing, til I lost a BIG fish handing the rod over the top while moving toward the bow(buddy was bringin' boat around to go after the fish)...swore I'd never do that again :'(
