Check the hardware stores and Lowes or Home Depot.
One of the paints we were useing a several weeks ago required it to be used as cleanup or thinner.

I would try to get Xylene or substitute with Toluene. Both should be available at paint supply or HD or Lowes.

If you use tolulene PLEASE wear a respirator. It will make you either sick or high!

Having been reading about Durabak myself lately, they do specify to use only Xylene.
Check the Do's and Don'ts on the application notes: http://www.cotelind.com/apptips.html#do "DO Use only xylene cleaning solvent as last step before applying DURABAK™ and to thin DURABAK™ if necessary." You should be able to get xylene at a paint store ie Sherwin Williams) and likely at you local big box (Depot or Lowes).

I just bought a gallon of it today $15 at Home Depo
Needed it to get all the black 5200 off me and CB, we had a 5200 wrestling match, much like a jello fight!
