I'll check with LOWES tommorrow. They had some that looked really nice at HOME DEPOT with smooth surface and no knots in it, but it was pine and only 5 layers thick.

This is the best plywood I have seen for staying together.
Problem is, the coating on it makes resin almost impossible to stick.
A vigorous sanding will help.
This plywood used to be coated with an oil that had a diesel smell to it, now the coating resembles a wax of some type.

And Stinks right, don't use treated. It's not just the fact nothing will stick to it, the glue will seperate in the layers.
The cabinet grade stuff Skools is referring to is lighter and more rigid (requireing less support), would be the best bet.

I've use doug fir marine plywood a/b. It's about $50 for a sheet of 1/2 and $65 for a sheet of 3/4. Also if you can find MDO (what's used for billboard signs) that is a little less and very good quality usually no voids (comes with 1 or two paper faces).

Sometimes you can find a sign supply shop that will sell you old bill boards for $10 a sheet 4/8 3/4" MDO. I bought 15 sheets from a place at $5 each to do shelves for a friends garage.
