Starboard can not be glued easily, there is a special stuff and its not easy!!!

Best is to screw in place and seal with 5200 or what have you. I have used it for, cutting boards, fish box cover, dash, doors, bulk heads, walls, anchor pulpit, and a built in tackle box.
All screwed toghter and strong as heck!!

For a floor 3/4 is the best but you going to pay a pretty penny for it! I bought full sheets of 3/8 and 3/4 for my V . And I will be buying 2 more sheets of the same for the new boat in the next few weeks!!
