Be sure to completely flush the old tank before you go beating on it. After I siphoned off the gas I removed the sender and stuck a garden hose down the filler and basicly let it run until I didn't see any more "rainbows" coming out of the tank. I filled the old tank with water several times and siphoned it off before I felt comfortable that there was no more traces of fuel or even worse fumes.
