Actually, this entire site was redesigned and streamlined using a machine with an 800x600 monitor. I have two machines on my workstation, one 17" flat glass CRT running at 800x600 and one 19" flat panel running at 1024x768.
It is worth noting that screens are actually getting smaller at the same time they get larger. Witness all of those PDAs and iPhones and Blackberries that are running with a screen no larger than 5". I know the trend with full-sized computers and laptops is to go with a screen a yard wide, but there are still 800x600s out there and I think it is still best to consider that the base size for the forseeable future. |

Valiant, but why does the rest of the webpage fill in the area of my monitor, but the banner doesn't?

I took a screen dump from my laptop to show how the top does not fill the screen and the main body always fills in.
