Says they are for inboards, But I am using my I/O on my outboard with no problems.

MJ, I have been digging around also and the ones for inboards appear to end in 02 ie 12R-RAC-02 vs 120R-RAC-01.....the difference appears to be only the clear bowl on 01 is not approved for inboards by the CG...02 has a metal bowl. Here is a link to a tech manual.

My question is about the maximum gph.....the manual says the 120R is for "smaller" gasoline engines up to 30 gph.

There is also a guy selling a couple of bigger ones on Ebay if anyone is interested....

those are a bit small for big v6 OB. I just use the standard Mercury/Sierra/GLM/Yamaha/AquaPower type filter head, then use the Racor element on it. Those filter heads will handle just aboout anything you hook to it.Right now the Yamaha factory filter is specced at 10 microns, and its atleast 10" long
