My son had a AM/FM/CD player he took out of his truck that he sold, so being I had a hole already cut under the dash I trimed it out in mahogany and mounted it there. I dont leave it in, just pop it in before I take it out. As for speakers I made some plyboard boxes to fit up under the gunnels and mounted two 6 inch Jensens in them. You cant see them unless you lay on the floor. Sounds really good for a cheap setup. I bought a foot long black rubber antenna and mounted it on the port gunnel beside the windshield, picks up great. Oh and welcome to the site! Some others mounted theirs in the cabin!

![]() When i bought the boat, one was in the cabin, i changed it out last year with this one that has a cd player and mp3 input...its kind of a pain to get to , if i had to do over, i'd probaly move it to the passenger side cuddy bulkhead. i think they are a lot more water proof than they used to be. |
