Starboard for Fuel Tank Cover

I was thinking the same thing with regard to the sand... Is the starboard paintable as is or does it need to be treated/primered to be able to paint?

No paint, solid color all the way thur! Texture is the way to go, They did not have it when I bought mine but I never had a problem with slip eaither.

is starboard and seaboard the same ? also has anyone tryed painting the deck(floor) puting sand in the paint for traction

They are the same thing!! Starboard is made for the Marine industry, and Seaboard is made for food plants and other stuff.
Ever saee the plastic doors in a food store at the meat dept, yep thats Seaboard!
Plastic walls in the public bathrooms, Yep Seaboard!! Thats why it comes in different colors and is cheaper, doesn't say marine in itys name!

As for painting the deck, you can use sand, but make sure you use a good paint or the sand will just wear down and break out!

For the same price as a good paint you can use Durback and be done!! Great stuff and stands up great!!
I, skools, and a few others have used it with great results!! Someone else is using it right now but I forgot who??
