Hey Lumber, that does sound kinda high. But most work done on boats is around 75.00 an hr. And if you aint got any place ta do it in out of the cold and ya got the money I cant blame ya for letting someone else do it for you. If it aint right ,at least you can blame somebody else!

My boat guy charges 80 bucks an hour. Pulling a tank looks pretty tuff to do. If you got the cash, I say do it.

I'd pull the tank myself. It isn't all that hard technically speaking, just a PIA. I'd let someone else mess with the steering if I didn't know what I was doing.

The tank is the bear to pull, the steering isn't a big deal to do if your going with a seastar system. Mount the helm in the old hole(after you enlarge it with the supplied template), use the old cable to pull the 2 hoses, hook the ram up, and then bleed the air. The steering is an easy upgrade.
