You didn't have to watch the tape did you?
The correct answer when they ask if you know anyone who may be involved in the case is, "Yes, I know lots of cops and I know if the cops arrested you, you must be guilty." The next line is usually, "You may be excused".

We did watch the tape.....many times. It was cell phone size and very low resolution. The dude was grinning right at the camera.
They asked us if we knew the specific people involved....I could have used the cop angle but I think they were getting desperate as there were only 5 of us left out of 24 and they asked me almost nothing. In fact, one of the other jurors was a former cop for 5 years! The judge and clerk told us afterwards they were quite surprised they allowed him.

Well it will be a good story for years to come.
Plus you will have that extra cash comming in. In NC we get $12 a day from the court for serving on a jury.
