a friend of mine installed a sump in the bilge of his old Formula. He made the sump out of a rubbermaid storage box with thru hull fittings, he let the cockpit drains feed into the sump(sump mounted below deck) then installed a 2500 gph pump with auto switch inside the sump that pumped the water overboard. The idea is the cockpit will drain into the sump but not the actual bilge, the sump had a cover on it to prevent water from coming out of the sump. Thsi kept the bilge separte from water coming in from the cockpit. The bilge had its own separate bilge pump and switch. Just one more idea to ponder over
