what do you meen 'chase the threads? i have no idea what pin ur talkin about but, if ur tryin to get a nut started, depending the size of the nut, you may be able t run a hacksaw blade thrue it. then reassemble the hacksaw and put the nut in a vice and cut a few grooves in it. might be able to get it started then.

depending on what year model you drive is, if its the later ones that used 7/16 fine thread nuts, the older ones used 3/8 fine thread, you could have the end turned down to where you could put the 3/8 nut on it, worse comes to worse, have someone weld the nut on one end and slide the pin thru from that side

yeah it the 3/8's fine thread.
i'm gonna pick up the new one in the morning.
i thought i got it going and when i started to tighten it down it snapped off.
everything that could go wrong today did.
taking the bolts out of the trim manifold, one snapped.
taking the hydraulic lines out of the manifold, my 3/8's combination wrench (my snap-on) broke.
mixed up some marine-tex to set some studs in the trim cylinders to hold the zincs, it never set.

i could go on and on but i hafta get up early to finish up before i dunk the piece of crap in the water.

couple problems.

1. i dont drink.

2. the trains are equipped with automatic speed control.
the worst i could do is put it through a bumper block. that would buy me 30 days on the street.

3. she went in at 9:30 am this morning.
i was up all night working on her and was at all island marines front door when they opened at 8:00 am.
i know she will corrode to sh!t but this morning she ran like a dog without a leash. for all you southerners, we northerners walk our dogs on a leash. thats like a rope that is connected to their collar. tha collar is like a dog necklace).

4. gonna shake her down later.
will take a picture or two.
