Got my trolling motor mount in and got her mounted up...
I wanted to put a Minn Kota quick release mount on it since I may want the trolling motor off at times. ![]() However, they want over 100 bones for it so you know what that meant...starboard to the rescue!! ;D After all that quick release is just a piece of 3/4 starboard with a couple stainless pins. The pins I had already, but a quick trip to my starboard dealer rendered me a perfect sized piece of 3/4" for 10 bucks. 8) I ripped it the correct size ![]() I marked the holes and drilled them through the width of the material for the stainless rods to slide through: ![]() After that I cut it out. ![]() Here is the motor side bolted to the motor: ![]() I cut and cleaned up the 5/16" stainless rods : ![]() Here is the fnished product. The pins go through and are very snug. They have stainless keepers on the inside of the mount. All I have to do is pull em and presto, the motor is off. ;D ![]() ![]() Lets see.....brand new RipTide 70# 3X steering motor for 125 bones free mount.... $10 starboard... I came out a "lil" ahead. 8) Thanks again for the hookup Parrot Head. ;)
