Yea so that it is clear, there is a diffrence in flounder and fluke. Flounder are in the deep water ocean drop offs all summer, we fish for flounder(winter flounder) until May 19th this year here. After that the inshore fishery is for fluke.
Flounder is what I believe the southern boys go after and it is what we call winter flounder and it is a right side fish. The summer version we get hear is called fluke and it is a left side fish that migrate in to shallower inshore locations during the summer months. Usually a much bigger fish especially later in the season. At least that is my understanding ;)
