Tsub, you are doing a great job and getting really close. Nice pics and documentary!

I do have one question though and excuse my ignorance if you've already said the reason...but I was wondering why you went with the jackplate? Looks like a 20" motor and 20" transom so unless you just want to be able to get into skinnier water I don't understand the need for the jackplate? Is it manual or hydraulic?

The motor looks about 7 or 8 inches too high in this pic:

Not trying to bust your stones or anything like that, just wondering. I'm sure you know what you are doing :D
