MJ's right, This will make your bracket truly water tight and provide the flotation you will need. Some brackets have a drain hole in the event water gets into the chamber. I had a bracket boat and there was a hole thru the transom. If water got into the bracket, it drained into the hull and removed with the bilge pump.
