| MJ's windshield repair Is DONE!!

Well I got the windshield from Axe (thanks again Axe!!) the other day and it goes on totally different then mine. Mine had a piece of metal that bolted down to the boat with a piece that went into the side of the windshield to hold it down. The new one has a track under the frame with T bolts, you never see a screw after the install. Problem is finding the T bolts?? They need to be a flat square head and no more then 8mm or 3/16 dim bolt. Guess what there is no such animal in any hardware store or boat place! *>:( So I had to make my own, after playing for a while I used 1/4 SS Carriage bolts. I used my grinder and squared the head off, then ground the shank of the bolt to 3/16 or so till it fit in the hole and slide on the track. I just finished making all the bolts, Now I am off to scrape the old caulking off the boat from the old windshield, then will fit the windshield to see if I have to fill the old holes or will the new windshield cover them? Will have pic's later today.
