Default Florida Norton Snagger Report

I hesitate to post 'cause I haven't figured how to get my pictures from my cell phone to my computer yet.
That being said I had a decent 1 fish day saturday. I took my son, his sig/other, and my nephew out. We left the dock about 8:00am and headed for Sebastian Inlet, light winds and flat seas. We cleared the jetty and headed north loking for bait. We were in 40 ft of water and covered 5 miles without a glimpse of bait. We turned S/E looking for a wreck on the chartplotter. Never did find more than a little bump on the bottom, and it wasn't holding any bait. We put out a couple of trolling lures and headed further out. We came across a little piece of 2x4 drifting in about 80 ft of water. It was holding a few little fish and we could see flashes deep. We cut up some shrimp and chummed a bit bringing up a school of little bonitas I think, and following them was what I at first thought was a shark, after it gulped down one of the little fish I realized it was a fat Cobia. I threw some more chum out which got the bonita going and the Cobia came over to investigate. I dropped a bucktail with a Mr Twister tail over the side and the cobia followed it down and gulped the bucktail. After getting it to the boat 3 times we were finally able to keep it there long enough to gaff it and get it in the boat. I'm guessing it was about 25 lbs or so. Filleted and had it for dinner last night and got a bunch in the freezer.
