Default Etec 200 HO issue

Found motor running rough with some low speed minor surging...….along with reduced top end.

Issue was found to be the poppet valve …….causing motor to run cold, and therefore carbon build up with bad plug, so running on 5 cylinders. That plus the flywheel was shot so also had new water pump, thermo's etc and good to go. Mechanic also able to get the grease all the way up the steering shaft which isn't easy. Compression still perfect.

15 year old motor...….from my experience Bombardier got these motors right …..from the start. Mine being an 05' ...….first year of the Etec's......often a risk until bugs straightened out. I wouldn't hesitate to get another...…..used that is. No new motor prices for me.
