Congratulations, very nice!!
Have you considered plotting a path like 5 or so miles offshore to parallel the coast with port locations for food, fuel and rest? Should cut the trip time and distance considerably. I know the channels from the sounds to ocean getting in or out can be a real bastard when the wind and tide fight each other. If you needed to get from offshore to avoid bad weather.
