Not w that truck BUT as a diesel owner..... It's not a good match for that use... A 1/2 ton gasser will be far cheaper to operate and more than capable of handling that load....
Buy a diesel only if you NEED a diesel. That said, 5k sounds REDICOLOUSLY cheap.... If you don't want it I do! I say buy it, sell it for a huge profit, and pick up a gasser for your uses.... That is unless you just WANT a diesel and don't mind the higher cost of use.
