I have both: a bracket and the factory in floor livewell. Performance is great, but I have a dual console. I'm sure the center console may react a bit differently, but overall should be great performance.
Kamikaze can give you a better idea of what to expect since he has a cc with bracket. As for the plumbing question, I haven't touched mine. I got the pump working, but that's as far as I've gotten.
