It lays flat, its cheap, fits over the end of the rod holder, held on with a hose clamp, you can run it to the bilge

Yeah...I was tryin' to think of that when greene 1st put this up...oughtta work pretty good as long as something doesn't accidently get on top of it and hold it shut....
