So since I had Xmas Gift Card to Cabelas and made the decision to pursue my freshwater lakes and streams I talked with a sweet water guy I know that fishes it two or three times a week and asked him for some recommendations for a new rod and reel. since he works in a nice sport shop he see's it all.
Rod - St. Croix 6'10 1/8-1/2 oz Mojo Bass drop shot spin rod, he said one of the sweetest rods he ever used for drop shot fishing and light jig and lure fishing.  He told me one of the sweetest reels on the market today is the Quantum PT Smoke. So I got it loaded up with Fireline 10lbs. Crystal  Merry Christmas to me, looking forward to some nice fishing if this wind ever dies down.
