New v 20 owner here

long time lurker here and i must commend the v 20 crowd on their in depth knowledge of these fine boats. I bought a 1990 v-20 cc 2 yrs ago and am just getting ready for the first shakedown run. Been extremely busy. It is powered with a 225 evinrude 2 stroke and it seems a tad overpowered. This is my 12th boat starting in 1972 and primarily fish offshore , however this boat will be a beach cruiser/ sunset watching boat as i fish offshore in brothers 35 intrepid. I really like the style and layout of the boat but can any one comment on a 22 yr old boat with a 225 on the back? Transom seems solid, floor has a small soft spot around console and again i have no intentions of running offshore in this boat.
