I dont know what the heck they were called, but on my 250 Sportsman they were six inches. Thats i plan mine to be when i start the rebuild. I will tell you Kracker watching your build has me itching more and more to start on mine. But i dont want to start cutting until i get a couple loans paid off. I dont want to get ahead of myself. Are you planning to make your own coaming pads? Also why not abort the returns and run open gunnel caps? I seen several boats like that and i liked the look. But if you have to run wiring down the gunnels it can become unsightly. Just a thought.
